In addition, the unit's patented sprayhead design improves coffee-flavor extraction, while its porcelain-coated warming plate with a lighted "on/off" switch helps keep brewed coffee at the optimal serving temperature for hours. Other highlights include a durable glass decanter with a generous handle, a convenient close-and-brew lid, and a vacation switch that turns the tank heater off when the unit is not in use for several days. The home coffee brewer measures 13-4/5 by 7 by 14-4/5 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty.

Much the same as one I owned over twenty years ago. Why (fix) change the design if it doesn't need changing (fixing). The only difference between the old Model & the new one is that there is a switch in the cover that allows you time to pour the water into unit & then place the pot underneath. Also it seems cheaper material is now being used.Keeps water hot all the time (except there is a vacation off switch) so you are able to make coffee in about three minutes.Real nice unit.Update 3/10/2011Unit plastic has started to crack around the burner. Don't know how much longer it will last.Have had it about 5-1/2 years Maybe thats what they were designed for.Except for cracked plastic , no problem
