These stools are very sturdy with thick, square legs. They're too tall for use around a kitchen table, but great for bars, work benches, tall counters, art tables, or any place a tall stool is needed. It's great that they come fully assembled -- no hours spent driving screws only to wind up with a wobbly piece. These don't wobble at all; they're put together very well. I was surprised at how heavy they are, but that just makes them feel solid. They have a nice finish too. And the seats are perfectly flat, which is handy if you ever want to use the stools to double as small, tall round tables.
